The 2nds celebrated promotion from Division 12 in a season where they challenged for the title throughout.
Lee Bennet completed an unprecedented 1st and 2nd XI double by topping the batting averages for the 2s.
His 296 runs including two fifties and a sparkling century at an average of 59.20.
Fellow Saffa Gareth Barnard was hot on his heels, scoring 265 runs at 53.00 with a couple of half centuries.
Behind them AJ Boot (25.71) and Paul Larkin (23.50) were also among the runs.
Unfortunately, neither Lee or Barney played enough innings to qualify for the Division 12 averages.
AJ 20th and Paul Larkin 24th finished highest in that list, but no-one made the top 15 in a season where the batting was an occasional struggle for the 2nds.
The team had no such problems with the ball though, with Mark Davidson, Matt Mooney and Harry Middleton all featuring in the top 10 of the league averages.
Marky D led the way, with his 21 wickets coming at an average of 9.86 with a best of 6-34. That effort saw him finish second in the Division 12 list.
Mooney – who finished fourth in the division – took the most wickets of any bowler in the league.
His 30 scalps came at a cost of a miserly 11.03.
Meado’s 21 wickets at 17.10 saw him finish eighth in the league averages – but he was actually the fourth of HCC’s bowlers with Craig Johnson’s 18 victims coming at 15.67 but not being quite enough to get him in the handbook.
You would have to go a long way to find a better bowling attack in the third tier of the NCL.
